Cinemark Signs New Theatrical Deal With The Five Major Studios

Variety is reporting a new theatrical deal between Cinemark and the five major studios.

The terms of the deal will change the amount of time that movies are shown exclusively to theaters before going onto Blu-Ray/DVD or streaming. Cinemark has signed a deal with Universal back in November that allows the studio to put new movies on premium video-on-demand platforms 17 days after they are released in theaters. Cinemark has now agreed with Warner Bros.
