I'm having a really great day with all this Batman news!

Right after the announcement that Andy Serkis is in talks for the role of Alfred, Deadline reported that Colin Farrell is in talks with Warner Bros. for the role of The Penguin in The Batman. And guess what? I blindly love this casting too.

I'll make it short: Colin Farrell is just as versatile as everyone else that has been added to the cast (Pattinson, Serkis, Wright, Dano). He has shown a massive acting range from blockbusters like Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them to indie films such as In Bruges. He has done all sorts of roles in all kinds of movies, so he will feel no pressure being in The Batman. Plus Warner Bros. seems to love the guy, so there's that aspect too.

The Batman hits theaters June 25, 2021, and I am now more hyped than ever to see this with my own eyes.
